Te Rangihaeata Iwi Support Services

Te Rangihaeata is a service that provides community based cultural assessment, support and consultation within a Kaupapa Maaori framework for pakeke/kaumatua whohave been diagnosed with mental illness. 

CRITERIA OF ELIGIBILITY

  • 17 years of age and above
  • Diagnosed with an axis 1 or 2 mental health illness
  • Currently receiving clinical treatment from another mental health service

SERVICES
Te Rangihaeata iwi support workers provides:

  • partnership with those suffering from mild to moderate mental illness
  • Achieve individual goals
  • Provide support
  • information and linkage to support groups
  • placement into courses to meet specific needs
  • Home visits
  • Types of accepted referrals
    • Any community mental health clinic within South Auckland
    • If you are unsure that you or someone you know is suffering
      from mental illness does not meet the criteria, please contact us
